This page reflects the going on's at Scott' House. You may ask what is Scott;s House? Scott's House like many of the house's mentioned in the New Testament is where men dedicated to their life in Christ come together each Saturday, to share, fellowship, study the Word of God together and what ever the Spirit desires to lead us in. We have a wonderful time living out the Christian relationship, as was lived and practiced in the New Testament. We have no leaders but Christ as our head. We have no format, no church bulletin guideline to practice by. no planned sacerdotalism. We meet and allow Christ to be who He is, the High Priest, the only Pastor, Teacher that there is. For we beleive all authority is given to Him in heaven and on Earth.We believe He has called out His people into relationship of equality as priest and kings, and that authoritarianism, and hierarchy of men, opposes all that Christ came to bring. We beleive that we are the Ekklesia ( a word sadly changed by the authoritariam hierarchy that they prefer calling a building, made by the hands of men) We beleive we are that Temple which God has built and is building. We believe in the right of each believer to exercise His spiritual giftings as moved upon by the Spirit of God . We don't beleive that there is a necessity of sign gifts for these were given as signs unto the Jews - the unbeliever in the decalration of the Gospel unto the Jews before 70.A.D.
We believe in the respect of doing everything as " one to another:" with no one person being predominate or exercising authority over the others. We believe having Christ in us, as our hope of glory, gives each man the right ro bring a song, a teaching, a prophecy or whatever it maybe that Christ leads Him to bring to the table of fellowship amongt the brethern. We believe in a fulfilled eschatology in Christ accomplished work, and that as such it is He who is Israel, and all those who are enjoined to Him, that we are one, with no differentation between us in race, creed or color. He is that is in the Lord is one in the Lord.
We share, we laugh, we eat, we drink, and enjoy the company of one another, and the building of our relationships together in Christ and the Word of God.
We are Preterist- Idealist. We believe all things were spiritually accomplished in Christ through His death, resurrection, and giving of the Spirit at Pentecost. we believe that all prophecy was fufilled in the physical realm as it applied to the Jews and the Early Church by 70 A.D. We aren't quite sure as to their being a physical restoration as Christ had always declared His kingdom a spiritual one and not a physical kingdom.
We believe that the whole of scripture is inspired by God, written down by men, but we also recognize that the unholy alliance of men, their creeds, their traditions have tampered with the letter of the Word, but they couldn't tamper with the Spirit of the Word. We are not book worshippers but we worship in Spirit and Truth to whom this book tesitifies of- Jesus Christ - Lord and Saviour- King of Kings, and He who is the Son, of the Father, and brother to the Father's many children, we who are the manifest Sons of God, raised in His likeness, new creations in Christ. Who now in this age, the Kingdom Age has come to dwell with men, within their hearts and minds, We live in His Kingom while surrounded by the many fallen kingdoms of mankind. We believe we are to be in the world but not of the world, and as such the life of Christ within us, is producing His character in us, to His eternal glory, by the work of God who came to restore us to His Image. We believe whatever man does in the form of religion distracts from the work of Christ and only gloriifies the flesh of men. We believe that centering one's life in Christ who is our life, is our lives goal, that He produces the works of the Spirit within us, and as a result, the behaviour of God will become the fruit of the Spirit within us, to shine as a light and salt to the world around us, at work or in play or at rest. We believe in the Christ Life. That He truly is alive in each of us who have placed our reliance upon Him and Him alone and not the works of the flesh as found in the traditions of men and religion.
We believe that only Christians have the promise of immortality in Christ, that each man dies physically but only those who have a spirutal building built by God, the new creation nature of God, the image of God, will live in the presence of God forever. We believe all men are judged at the cross, and that all men have a means to escape that judgement by coming to Christ in His resurrection and life within. However, we believe God does the choosing, and not we ourselves. That is the God's sovereign right to choose whom he chooses and to reject whom he rejects, for He is Creator and not we ourselves.
We believe that those who are chosen will live out the life of Christ by the very work of Christ in their life, and that those who quench the Spirit in their lives, will only find themselves more miserable then those without the Spirit, and that they will have the hand of God extended to them in chastisement -spiritual correction- not temporal punishments, with the purpose of God, to take us from glory to glory until that final day when we must hear our final Trumpet sound at the day of physical death, and transcend this earth into our whole and spiritual bodies, to live thereon always in the presence of the Lord.This we beleive to be the rapture, the coming of Christ for us, to each and every beleiver as He finally makes his or her resting place with Christ in the heavenlies
We believe that in God's love and justice he so designed men to be mortal that those who do not gain immortality by birth of the Spirit of God within them, return to dust, but are judged at death, and there they shall remain destroyed for eternity, where there is no more thought for them or rememberance of them. That men are not immortal by nature as the traditions of men have taught and lied about for far too long. and men don't die and either go to some fantasized place of physical fire forever and ever or to clouds in heaven floating about as dismembered spirits, awaiting to come back at some future time to put back on a body made of dust! WE also believe that the Kingdom of God cannot be inherited by flesh and blood but only in the nature which it is, a spiritual kingdom, therefore we must already have His Spirit within to inherit the eternal Kingdom which started on this side of the grave, and that once inherited, we leave here behind our body made of dust only to continue living in the spiritual body which Christ has built inside of us. We do not beleive that the physical body is evil, we believe it is the Temple of God. We do believe that life on this side of the grave is as Brother Keith refers to, it as the incubator for what is too come for those who have entrusted their lives in Christ
We know and believe these fantasies of immortality of all men to have come from pagan sources and were doctrinalized by a pagan church as truth, when they are a lie, and that the Catholic Church just like the Protestant Church have continued the lie. We have realized that it is as the best policy of men's tradition to scare the masses into Church attendance and aggrandizement of monetary gifts to it's proponets the ungodly Clergy and it's institutions. which neither God or Christ ordained.
We do not beleive in the tithe as taught by these proponents of thge institutions who are bent on the preaching of hell fire and damnation rather than the saving Gospel of Jesus Chirsti, we beleive in freely we have been given so freely we find ourselves giving by the work of Christ within us, to our brothers in times of need, We are not into building man's traditions, or their edifices of granduer but building men in Christ.
Eternal life starts on this side of the grave and is only available to those who die in Christ, whereby we are declarated righteous because of the work of Christ, and we go to be forever in the presence of the Lord in our new body, our spiritual body, dwelling in the heavenlies with the Father and the Son, and the many children of God, that Christ has brought with Him forever and ever. We beleive God dwells within immortal light, and no one can see God, unless declared Holy and who is Holy, and since Christ is that Holiness for us, we will see God! We beleive that Christ revealed His present state of being when He met Paul on the road to Damascus, that of blinding light, for it is He who sits on the right hand of the Father
We believe that a life lived by the love of God expressing the love of God through us fulfills the law, for the fullment of the Law is Christ and if we are in Him and He in us, the Law is fulfilled in us by and through Him who is Love..
So what is Scott's House you ask, it is a place to come on Saturday if what you are seeking is God, and Christ, and want to grow in the Spirit, and relationship with other beleivers and Christ. That's what Scott;s House is. You do not have to believe exactly as we do, for all those who lay claim to entrusting their lives to Christ, not men's traditions, and the works of the flesh are our brethern in Him.
